Board Brain ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Old Goat. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Board Brain, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Board Brain, you agree to the practices described here.
When you create an account and use Board Brain, we collect:
We do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools, and we do not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location data.
You can sign in to Board Brain using Google, Apple, or an email address. When you use Google or Apple sign-in, those providers share basic account information (such as your email address) with us to create your account. We do not receive your password.
We use trusted third-party services to operate Board Brain. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services:
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above so they can perform their functions, or where required by law. Your username and score may be visible to other players on public leaderboards and in multiplayer games.
Board Brain shows banner adverts for skateboard brands and shops that we work with directly. There is no third-party advertising network in the app, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
We record which advert you were shown each day and whether you tapped it, so that we can tell an advertiser how their campaign performed. Advertisers receive only aggregate figures — such as the number of players reached and the number of taps. They never receive your email address, your username, or anything else that identifies you.
The same applies to the skateboard graphics in the game. We count how often each brand's boards were shown and how many players tapped through to that brand, and we report those totals to the brand. Again, only aggregate figures are shared.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@boardbrainskateboarding.com. We will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law. Your account can also be deleted by yourself at any time from within the Settings page of the app.
One exception: if you win a monthly leaderboard prize, your username is kept in our historical record of past winners. That record contains no email address or other contact details.
Board Brain is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Account data is stored using Google Firebase's secured infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, including through the services of Google and our other providers. By using the app, you consent to this transfer and processing.
You can review and update some of your information within the app. You can also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
